Lasix

Generic Name: Fuorosemide

Description:
This is a very strong diuretic used by some bodybuilders prior to competition.
What they are hoping is that this strong diuretic will get rid of their extra water
making them more cut on contest day. More often, Lasix depletes the body of sodium
and potassium leaving the muscles small and flat. Some athletes claim that loading
up on potassium or taking a prescription potassium like Slow-K, along with the Lasix,
allows them to maintain muscle fullness while getting rid of extra subcutaneous water.
Usually, this ends up backfiring and can even be dangerous if the athlete gets too dehydrated
or loses too much potassium.
